• School data: information you enter into the Service, such as students, classes, subjects, grades, attendance, and payment records. This is "Your Data" under our Terms of Service.
• Usage data: technical information such as browser type, device, and aggregate service usage, used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
• To authenticate users and enforce role-based access;
• To send service communications, such as verification and password reset emails;
• To improve the Service, monitor performance, and prevent abuse;
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Student Data

Your Data, including student records, is processed on your behalf and controlled by your school. We do not use student data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the Service to your school. Schools are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from parents or guardians before entering student data, in line with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information or Your Data. We share information only:

• With service providers who help operate the Service (for example, hosting and email delivery), bound by confidentiality obligations;
• When required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority;
• To protect the rights, safety, or security of SqoolHQ, our users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Your Data is retained while you use the Service and for a reasonable close-out period after account closure, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized unless retention is required by law.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, tenant isolation at the database level, role-based access controls, and audit logging of sensitive actions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Service.
